Royce Simmons disappointed with St Helens defence and attitude after Hull Kingston Rovers draw
8:32pm Sunday 19th February 2012

SAINTS boss Royce Simmons was disppointed with his side's defence after seeing them concede six tries at Hull KR.
Although they left Craven Park with one more point than they have in four previous visits, Simmons was still concerned about the team's frailities in coping with the Rovers attack.
Simmons said: "I'm a bit disappointed really to concede 36 points against a side we knew would be very game and very hard.
"They were without their two starting halves but we knew how strongly their forwards carry the ball as they did so well in the first two games.
"We knew it was going to be a battle.
"The problem was we got to 14-0 too easily and I think we thought this would be an easy game.
"We pointed out during the week how big and aggressive this pack of forwards is.
"I don't think our attitude for the entire 80 minutes was quite where we wanted it.
"But in saying that, don't take anything away from Hull KR because they could easily have given up at 14-0 down and we have key players injured.
"They didn't use that as an excuse and the coach has done a great job and they stayed very competitive and they were probably the better side. "Was it our strongest side? Well that's debatable. I'll decide on that when I look at the video. Paul Clough, Tommy Makinson, Shaun Magennis didn't play and we had the luxury of leaving a couple out, but yes it was a good side.
"A point gained or lost? At the end of the day we let in 36 points so I don't care too much about the one point really. I want to fix the 36 points up."
