Saints prop Bryn Hargreaves to join Bradford Bulls
7:00am Friday 3rd September 2010
SAINTS’ industrious prop Bryn Hargreaves will be joining departing coach Mick Potter at Bradford next year.
The 24-year-old prop, who has taken on a senior role in the Saints front row this year due to the injury sustained by Maurie Fa’asavalu and the dip in form of Nick Fozzard, has been a solid contributor in his stint at Knowsley Road.
Although he has never had his name in lights, the hard working prop has given honest, hard yards with a safe pair of hands since joining from Wigan, via Leigh, in 2007.
He was part of the team that beat Brisbane in the 2007 World Club Challenge and was in the Wembley side against Hull a year later.
Hargreaves said: “When I spoke to Lee St Hilaire about joining Bradford I was impressed with what I heard and I really think the club’s going places.
“The current position is not reflective of where they are right now and I think they will soon be back where they belong.
“As far as I’m concerned, it’s time for a change and for a new challenge. I’ve enjoyed quite a bit of success at St Helens and now I’m hopeful of doing the same at Bradford.
“I’m excited about my move to Bradford but at the moment, I’m fully focused on Saints.”
