Double decker bus to boost internet use
5:42pm Friday 3rd September 2010
A SPECIALLY kitted out double decker bus aimed at showing people how to use the internet and get online will be paying a visit to Moss Bank this weekend.
The bus has been commissioned by mobile operator Three and has experts from Park Farm UK online centre onboard providing free help and support to get started with computers and the internet.
With the help of UK online centres, Three has pledged to help get 100,000 people who have never used the internet before connected to the web.
This ties in with the operator’s pledge to Martha Lane Fox’s Race Online 2012 project, which aims to help the 10m people who have never been online experience the internet for themselves.
The bus will be at Park Farm Centre – at 54 Kentmere Ave, Carr Mill, St Helens, between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday.
